Words at Work conference and a signed book!

I love it when you get paid to have fun. Like hanging out with librarians and authors at the State Library of Qld.

Speakers Ink organise our author speeches. We got to listen to authors and poets, buy books, illustrative art work and hear the shortlists of the Children’s Book Council of Australia.

I also bought a copy of Isobelle Carmody’s Obernewtyn (now a Penguin classic!) and Isobelle kindly signed a copy for a student! Now to figure out how to give it out!
